MIKE CUNIO

PRESIDENT AND PARTNER

In his 25 years with MJA, Mike has shaped the agency’s reputation by devising media strategies and overseeing the day-to-day operations. Throughout his career, he’s negotiated over $2 billion in media deals for Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa, The Men’s Wearhouse, Time Warner Cable and more – while winning armfuls of Clio, Telly, Davey and W3 awards along the way.

SCOTT COOPER

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND PARTNER

A core contributor to MJA’s long-term direction and creative strategy, Scott oversees client relations in both advertising and sponsorship events. Since joining MJA in 1998, he’s been an integral contributor to the firm’s growth and expansion, bringing in such landmark clients such as Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa, the Shrine Auditorium, Smirnoff Ice, California Speedway, AT&T and more.

In addition to winning multiple Telly, Davey and W3 awards, Scott is also an accomplished musician and songwriter, using his extensive musical background to enhance MJA’s commercial production.

LINDA MORGANSTEIN

VICE PRESIDENT AND PARTNER

An MJA employee for over 30 years, Linda was instrumental in the development and planning of the nationwide expansion for The Men’s Wearhouse. In addition to strategy and marketing, she oversaw a $50 million media expenditure, encompassing 110 cities and more than 1,200 TV and radio stations.

LIANE ROCKMAEL

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Liane works closely with Mike Cunio and Scott Cooper in coordinating all aspects of the administrative side of the business. In addition to trafficking TV and radio commercials, she coordinates scripts and co-op schedules, checks media contracts, spearheads press releases and acts as an additional point person for clients. In short, Liane does it all.

LISA KAUFMAN

MARKETING DIRECTOR

Prior to joining MJA, Lisa spent six years at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, working on release strategies for Spider-Man, Men in Black, Charlie’s Angels, and more. In addition to working on-site at client properties, Lisa coordinates integrated promotions and live events while acting as liaison between clients and promotional media partners.

ETHAN MALYKONT

ASSOCIATE CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Ethan has worked as an Art Director and Interactive Producer for over a decade for a wide range of clients, including Warner Brothers, Global Green, (BMW DesignWorks USA), Great Oaks Productions (John Hughes’ Production entity) and more. He currently serves as the Art Director at MJA Advertising.

DAISY AGUILAR

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Daisy came to MJA with a wide range of experience. Her time spent as a promotions specialist pays dividends for our clients on a daily basis, while her legal expertise grants us an additional point of view. Multi-lingual, and always ready to lend a hand, Daisy is a force to be reckoned with.

LAUREN GOLDEN

DIGITAL DIRECTOR

Lauren has over six years of experience in digital media planning and buying, working on omnichannel Display, Native, Video & Connected TV campaigns. Video KPIs include Completion Rate & CPCV. Display KPIs include CPC, CPA, CTR, ROAS, delivery, CPLPV, CPUV, walk-ins, and cost per app-download. She has experience managing a high volume of campaigns (both client-direct and agency); managing $2.8MM gross and over 50 live campaigns daily. Lauren has worked on a wide variety of clients in different verticals, such as health care, banking, B2B, auto, travel & tourism, airline, and casino.

NIKOLAS SMITH

ASSOCIATE CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Award winning filmmaker Nikolas Smith is a storyteller with extensive professional experience in many disciplines, working on narrative and commercial projects as a director, cinematographer, and editor. His short films have played at festivals across the United States and his commercial clients include Walmart, P&G, Lays, Sony and Disney. His lifelong fascination with the moving image turned into an education at Chapman University where he received a Marrion Knott Scholarship and the Linus Toh Excellence Award while studying under Tom Mankiewicz. He loves to tell moving stories that engage and effect audiences with elegance and focused simplicity.
